HOUSE OF DONISM
SYMBOL
Our main symbol is a leaf contained in a blue orb. The leaf represents our respect towards Don we project by protecting the environment from the threats humanity poses towards the earth. The orb is important in honoring the way the message of Don was brought down to the humans on May 5th; unlike many common religions, it did not come down in human form. This makes it so the message is the most crucial part of the experience, and it is devoid of material distracting by seeing Don herself.
ENVIRONMENT
We choose to care for the environment because the earth is part of the universe, and the universe is Don. By keeping earth clean and free from destruction, we are pleasing Don and showing we care. By participating in Rejuvenation activities and promoting a clean-earth lifestyle, we can maintain our earth forever; turning around the damage we ourselves caused before knowledge of Don. We have already set up many large-scale organizations all over the world. The majority of contributors to these organizations are our very own Donists. We encourage everyone to support a cleaner earth to please Don.
OUR MAIN BELIEFS
Donism is composed of beliefs centered around equality, hard work, and respecting the environment.
AFTERLIFE
Don created an afterlife based on our earthly actions. It is unimaginable, since Don didn’t describe it. People are then motivated to work for the gift of the afterlife. The hard work on Earth pays off in this immaculate location, and its perfection is all we know. If one does not meet Don’s expectations, then life on Earth will repeat in a new form until the standard has been met. Empathy and other values are learned from this process, which is Don’s goal for all humans. Good people that are not Donists can be reincarnated into a new person that was better off than before.
EQUALITY
Everyone is equal; Don prizes humans. We are very intelligent and each have special talents and characteristics, making us so amazing. No one, to Don, is above anyone else because she is above all, so human hierarchies are pointless. Leaders exist but they have no special privileges. They lead because of their love for the cause. This equality promotes peace and prevents conflict.
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
Nothing is taken for granted in Donism and we should all strive to improve our world’s state. Individuals are assigned jobs based on passion and talent, and by mastering their abilities and performing well, everyone can benefit. Since we all work, we are all equal, so services and products are provided for free. However, this benefit as well as the afterlife are only for those who work sufficiently. If one does manage to manipulate the system, they will be rejected for a year, but can later redeem themselves (limited number). These rejections disincentivize cheating and solidifies loyalty to Don.
